Hello, my name is Natalie Vickers and I'm so excited to be your child's class teacher for 2018. This is my fourth year of teaching in Brisbane Catholic Education (I have previously taught Year 1, 4 and3) and my second year at St Bernardine's in Year 3 - I'm so excited! I really enjoy helping children to reach their goals and teaching them about the world we live in. Here are a few belief/values that I hold regarding education:
I strongly believe it is very important to create confident, independent and resilient children who take responsibility for their learning and actions.
I highly value the importance of a strong partnership between home and school
I believe that our time in the classroom together is '80% fun and 20% serious' - School should be a place filled with smiles, laughter and 'noise' in the background.
A little bit about me: I love to travel and bake, I enjoy quality family time, I have a huge collection of children's books, I love anything sugary, I'm Brisbane Broncos supporter (I attend every home game!) and most importantly, I love to laugh - laughing really is the best medicine.
I look forward to getting the opportunity to meet you and getting to know you.
